demagnetized: (Then came the knock at the door.)
This is an info post about this particular version of Erik Lehnsherr, aka Edge, who came out of the amnesia murdergame Sabra La Tau. There are a few things different about him that are worth noting.

PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES

* Slightly leaner than his norm, which mostly gives him a bit of a sharper appearance.

* There are some faint laceration scars on his arms, and a couple on his face. Very negligible, you'd have to be RIGHT UP IN HIS FACE to notice. And if you are there then you have bigger problems.

* Burn scars on his hands, mostly on his palms. Right hand is scarred worse due to ripping his wounds open in a fistfight while he was still healing. These are not super terrible but they're definitely noticeable.

* A large, ugly amount of scarring all around his upper left arm, just below the shoulder. Consistent with GIANT FUCKING SNAKE bite. There is also a smaller knife scar a few inches above the ID tattoo. Only relevant if you get him with his shirt off.

* He will be carrying a (godslaying) sword with him, in a sheath. There is a black tie knotted around the hilt. The sheath is made of the same material as Shaw's helmet; if the sword is OUT of the sheath, this is notable because it hums slightly on a telepathic/psychic register. It also feels slightly cold and alien on a metallic level. None of this can be felt if it's in the sheath.

* Otherwise he is wearing the kind of clothes you'd expect out of Erik Lehnsherr.

NON-PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES

* He's probably going to give his name as Edge if he doesn't know you. He'll correct you if you call him Magneto, but will let it pass if you call him Erik.

* LESS SMOOTH, MORE GRUFF. He sort of failed to redevelop his smooth operator ability whilst in Sabra La Tau (it wasn't very useful in a murdercave) so he's less inclined to bother with it in general.

* All of his memories are back, but he ascribes some different meanings to them now.

* Anyone mind-reading him will note a slight dissonance between different concepts of himself. Namely, there is 'Erik Lehnsherr' and 'Edge' which exist together in a cohesive (if slightly confusing for those not familiar with Sabra identitylulz) whole, but previous ideas of 'Erik Lehnsherr' are slightly distanced. 'Magneto' is wholly rejected. There are also some fractures due to some mental torture, but these aren't really problematic.

* Most notably, Erik's wish at the end of Sabra basically rewrote the ending of the film. And essentially erased that version of reality from existence. Erik is now the only person who lived through that reality and can remember it (though Charles has seen his memories of it).

YOU'RE WELCOME MARVEL.
